League Rules & Policies

The Spring Tune Up League is designed to get you ready in a fun, competitive way for the outdoor season. The following guidelines help ensure a smooth experience for all players.

The Swing Refinery reserves the right to make adjustments to league rules as needed to ensure fair play and a positive experience for all participants.

1. Team Structure

Each team consists of two players.  Teams may be co-ed, all-male or all-female.

One player registers the team and submits payment during registration. The partner will receive an email to confirm participation.

2. League Format

The league will use a Best Ball format with Stableford scoring. 9 holes will be played each week.

Week 1 will be played individually to establish Trackman handicaps.
Subsequent weeks will use those handicaps for team competition.

3. Schedule

League play takes place Mondays at 7:00 PM beginning March 23, 2026.

Bays will be available starting at 6:30 PM for warm-up.

The season runs for 7 weeks.

4. Handicaps

Week 1 scores will be used to establish a Trackman handicap for each player.

5. Missed Weeks

If a team cannot attend a given week, the team will receive no points for the week. If only one partner is able to attend, only their score will count towards Stableford points. There is no ability to makeup missed rounds. In addition, missed weeks are not eligible for refunds or credits.

6. Substitutes

If one player cannot attend a given week, substitute players are allowed.  If the substitute player has an established Trackman handicap, that will be used.  If not, they will be considered a scratch golfer.  If questions on how to receive a Trackman handicap, please email The Swing Refinery at swingteam@theswingrefinery.com.

Substitutes must follow league rules and scoring procedures.

7. Refund Policy

Cancellations are fully refundable through March 16, 2026.

Cancellations between March 17–22 are eligible for a 50% refund.

Because league spots are limited and scheduling commitments are finalized before play begins, registration fees are non-refundable once league play begins on March 23, 2026.

League registrations are non-transferable unless approved by The Swing Refinery.

8. Prize Distribution

Season and weekly prizes will be awarded throughout the league.

The total prize pool is based on participation (up to $900) and may include season standings awards and weekly competitions.

9. Sportsmanship

All participants are expected to maintain a friendly and respectful environment. The Swing Refinery reserves the right to remove participants who violate league rules or disrupt play.

10. Late Arrival

League scoring begins promptly at 7:00 PM. Players are encouraged to arrive by 6:30 PM to warm up and be ready to begin play on time.

Teams arriving late may be required to begin play immediately, skip holes, or receive a default score in order to keep league play on schedule.

11 Simulator or Technical Issues

In the event of a simulator or technical malfunction, The Swing Refinery will determine an appropriate solution, which may include replaying a shot, assigning a reasonable score, or restarting the hole.

All rulings related to technical issues are final and intended to keep league play fair and on schedule.
